Several versions of this song exist out there somewhere (the original and worst is on a compilation from Mount Allison's campus/community station CHMA called Hear the Water Freezes Faster, a pun on a song title from Quantum Butterass), although I'm not sure it was ever played live except maybe solo. Living in Sackville, as in any small town, there were trucks that used to cruise the strip. One was purple, with those lights underneath it, and The Heartbeat of the Maritimes airbrushed on the side, owned by a couple in love. I wrote many love songs to that truck.
One of the best hip hop albums of the last decade. Smart, slick, and creative. I could have picked a half-dozen tracks to be the favorite.

Hearing this was like discovering Desire, or London Calling for the first time. Derivative yet original, the songs are immediate and the melodies will get stuck in your ear for days. tideracer
